Discover the landscapes and trails that Inspired the Hudson River School artists to create their famous works of art. During this workshop, we will spend 2 full days walking in the footsteps of Thomas Cole, Sanford Robinson Gifford and Frederic Edwin Church. We will visit dramatic landscapes in several locations made famous by these famous artists.
Exploring these majestic locations and studying the work of these great artists will provide us with the opportunity to fine tune your creative vision, improve your technical skills and learn more about the artists so inspired by the Hudson Highlands.
During our workshop we will visit the home of Thomas Cole who is credited with inventing the style of art known as the Hudson River School. We will explore fantastic landscape photography locations and capture breathtaking images.
Finally, we will learn creative RAW processing in Lightroom, select your best image for printing, and learn the basics of the printing process and frame selection.
This workshop is designed for inspired photographers who are passionate about creating images and eager to improve their artistic vision. I am dedicated to providing individual instruction to help take you to a new level regardless of your current photography experience.
Our itinerary does require the ability to hike 1-2 miles with your gear on some moderately difficult trails.
